Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American Canadian singer and songwriter. Her work has been featured on over 20 albums of studio work. The music of DiFranco has been described as folk and alternative rock but also has influences from punk funk hip hop and jazz. A feminist icon widely recognized as Grammy winner Ani DiFranco is the mother of the DIY movement being one of the pioneers to establish her own label the year 1990. DiFranco's parents were Elizabeth (Ross), a ex-student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each the other when they were each attending. Her father was of Italian origin as was her mother from Montreal. The song by Ani, 32 Flavors, was composed by her and sung by Ani. The song is from her album from 1995 Not a Pretty Girl, which was her sixth studio release. This track appears on the film soundtrack for the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate from 1999. DiFranco apologized to host a seminar in Louisiana on an old slave plantation. She cancelled it but the majority of people (including this piece) didn't detect remorse. DiFranco issued an additional apology only a few days later. The singer is well-known for her Little Folksinger songs, however she's collaborated with many artists and genres that range from Pete Seeger to Chuck D. New Orleans is her home. Ani diFranco, and Kristen Ford are together. At the age of 14 she was writing her songs. She performed them at coffee shops and bars throughout her teenage years. DiFranco was a student at Buffalo State College after graduating at the age of 16 from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts. Ani's new baritone was a custom Alvarez guitar, designed by Chrys Johnston who at that time was an Alvarez artist rep. This guitar is built from solid wood and has an ebony top and cedar sides. The guitar also comes with it's System 600 Preamp. The owner reside in New Orleans, with her family: husband and two sons. Lefty is their dog pet who is with them when she speaks. DiFranco acknowledges that three decades after her debut in music, she still isn't sure what to expect when looking back. Ani DiFranco is a Pop/Punk singer-songwriter. She achieved musical hero status among fans and critics in her late twenties by releasing Not A Pretty Girl, 1995. Dilate was even more famous during 1996. "Brandy" (You're a Beautiful Girl) from the American pop rock group Looking Glass is from the album Looking Glass. Elliot Lurie is the guitarist/vocalist of Looking Glass.
