Ellie Goulding - born Elena Jane Goulding (30 December 1986) in Hereford (England), is an English musician and singer. Ellie Goulding, a British musician and singer who gained fame in 2010, when her smash songs Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed attracted the attention of the public. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Her unique soprano sibilance and knack for writing captivating, yet emotional tracks, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap, stands at the forefront of contemporary mainstream music and artistic, non-conformist pop.Goulding quickly moved from blogging to printed media, gaining recognition from major publications such as The Guardian and fielding offers from record labels.
