The elder son of Italian-born Francesco "Frank" Stallone Sr, a hairdresser, and Jackie Stallone, an astrologer and dancer. Frank Stallone Sr, his younger brother is an actor musician, and hairdresser. Sylvester was left paralyzed in the lower left corner of his face due to complications that occurred during birth. He is now sporting his signature "snarling" expression as well as a slight high pitched voice. Due to the tense relationship between his parents, Stallone spent his first years in foster care.
