She is most well-known for her parts in George Lopez (2002 - 2007) and Marcela Quitanilla (mother Selena) in Selena (1997). She played Regina Vasquez's character from the ABC Family/Freeform drama Switched at Birth (2011-17). She currently plays Camila Diaz in the drama series on Amazon Prime Video Undone (2019). Marie began acting in her teens. Her first film role came in the film Salsa. Other credits on film and television include Early Edition and Dirty Dancing, Selena and Spin City and Ally McBeal.
